$79.00 for physical copy???? $69.00 for digital download???? What what what!?!?!?! Thats insane...I had held off from buying this one, but had finally convinced myself to take the plunge...then I saw the price tag...have you guys gone nuts? I tolerate the $49.99 price tag on some games because of the niche topics covered, by $69.99, thats just highway robbery...sorry to say it, but you guys should be ashamed...

Your next game should be a sequel to Highway to the Reich...call it Highway to the Bank...because at those prices, thats where matrix is laughing themselves...all the way to the bank...

My standard pat answer here still applies (assuming this is a legitimate gripe)

In 1986, I paid $80.00 + tax for Gary Grigsby's 8bit masterpiece, War in Russia for the Atari 800. Well worth the price. then and now.

What the heck does that mean? "Assuming this is a legitimate gripe..."??? Of course its a legitimate gripe! Why is WiTP so expensive? Why is this game worth $79.99 and CoG worth only $49.99??? If you paid $80.00 in 1986 for an "8bit" masterpiece, I'd say you should change your screename to Sucker...thats outrageous...I don't think there is any justification for a $69.99 digital download...sorry...I support these developers...I have numerous matrix games, but I refuse to pay this ridiculous price...its a joke and an insult...

Hi, Don't buy it then. Why do you feel the need to post about it? I won't pay 5.00 for a draft beer but I don't stand outside the bar and yell about the price.

So don't pay it. It's your choice not to. Just as it's our choice to pay the money. Doesn't give you the right to name call.

$5 for a draft beer? Damn, that's cheap!

This subject often comes up and more than half the time it's purpose isn't to complain but simply to start an argument. Given the rant you typed after this last sentence i'm inclined to think its the latter.

Dont like the price? dont buy it.

So far that works out to $0.01 per hour of game time and counting . . . .

OK...so now on this forum, I'm not allowed to voice my shock over an exhorbitant price tag? I didn't start this thread to get some BS canned responses from a bunch of fanboys...I started to find out, from the developers/publishers, why the game is so expensive...as a customer, who has purchased, lets see...CoG, FPG, Titans, Starshatter, Tin Soldiers: Caesar, and I know I'm leaving a few others out, I have a right to be upset over feeling like I'm being taken advantage over in spite of my loyalty to matrix...

So do me a favor...instead of telling me not to post here, why don't you try to justify the price...

Well, I was talking about beer (which Guiness ISN'T), but my local watering hole charges something like $6.50 for a large draught. And that's a cheap rate; other places in town charge as much as $10 or $12.

wow. Are they at least strong beers? My GF's dad is an international airline pilot. He brought back some good strong German beer and I was able to snag a couple on Sat. 11% alcohol......WHEE!!!! good tasting too. Dont remember the brand though....it was only printed on the small bottle cap.

Not that strong, about 8%. Denmark isn't a cheap country when it comes to getting inebriated...

This is a serious thread about something I feel very strongly about...I do not appreciate some of you people hi-jacking it and trying to ruin my post over a very legitimate concern...

Lets show some maturity...

8% isn't bad. How 'bout taste? I'm not well versed on the Danish varieties.....recommend any brands to try? I love my English/Irish beers and Warsteiner is king of my summer beer selections but always interested in branching out.

When you buy this game, you will actually KEEP on playing it for the rest of the year. I bought it in august last year, and spend A LOT of time playing it, and it KEEPS interesting .I have bought games like FARCRY, HALF LIFE 2 etz. You spend 4 days playing it, finish the game, play it a second time, finish the game in three days, and never play the game again. This game may cost a bit more than "standard" games, but you will enjoy it FAR, FAR longer. After 6 months of playing the AI might not be enough challenge anymore, and then you can go PBEM. Play this game PBEM and you will get a VERY exiting ride....

This game is worth every penny….

Thank you for the serious reply...

But rather than comparing WiTP to games like Farcray and Half-life 2, can you compare it to other Matrix titles...especially in terms of value? Again...why is CoG $49.99 and WiTP $69.99/79.99?

Your serious responses are appreciated...

Actually, Danish beer (at least the big brands that get exported overseas) isn't very good. It has a bitter aftertaste which disagrees with you.

The draught beer I was talking about comes from a smaller brewery that doesn't export, and is much better tasting. The big folks like Carlsberg ALMOST have a monopoly on brewing beer and are trying to gobble up their smaller competitors instead of making better product.

For drinking outside of the alehouse environment, I like Urquell and Heineken.
