no matter what i set on the import/export screen the trade expert will buy/sell stuff i dont want. if this screen worked it would really cut out most trade micromanagement. is this on the to do list?
dunno if the same applies to the other options on this screen but i would presume so

Last time I looked at the code on this it looked alright, but I have not personally tested it in a while. There aren't documented issues from the beta testers re this, but i'll put it on my list of things to look into.
Thanks for the report,
Eric

Hi partners
Yes, I believe that this screen doesn`t work in form appropiate, is the same problem when you insert the password in that same place, I had experience where after of insert my password in pbem any player was avalaible of see my status of policy include posture agressive, trade and alliance so like my imports and exports [:(]

I can confirm it doesn't work. I tried it yesterday again. But still I get offers I don't want. And the more popular you are the more offers you get. Sometimes up to 10 per turn.

In view of the fact that the current automatic trade management is not oil-wheeled enough, I already kind-of developed myself into a resemblance of an expert for trade affairs. And it consumes a pretty large portion of my play time, given that trade routes are easily broken or lost which I have to renew or redirect turn after turn. ^(~,~)^

I found I didn't need make trade deals anymore, coz waste had gone and I was left with big money to spend. Of course, some lesser major powers may yet require more of a kind of commodity they are not specialised in producing. Either way, France is quite self-sufficient, and not so dependent on Spanish gold as before (the latest duo of b-patches).

OK. Policy is important, I'll see what Erik thinks and we'll hold up the public release of the patch till I get this ironed out, hopefully today/tomorrow.
Garoco, in what manner were other PBEM players able to see your policy settings? Was your password not working, and they were able to open your turn files?
