Game history

I know there is a turn history recorder, which I use in PBEM to review what happened in the last turn, but how about an entire game history recorder?

It might be fun to be able to see the entire game. Maybe this is currently possible, but I couldn't find it. Might also be a neat feature to allow everything to be seen once the game is over by having the players all put in their passwords to unlock the file (or something like that).

yes that would be interesting, but I bet the file would be quite large.

I would imagine when the TCP/IP patch comes around that the entire game would be in the history, since its essentially one long continuous turn and it doesn't have to pass through email.

I concur. Great idea - but considering how large the file that we pass along already is I fear it migh be impractical. Mind, I am still not entirely sure why the file is so large in the first place but thats another story.

There is an "area ownership" history on the strategic map. THough not a detaled "where have all teh units been" the whole game. TCP/IP still operates in turns for teh VCR.
