A strategic and tactical game

Has this idea been thought of? The game
starts out on a strategic level such as TAOW
series, and then when battalion level forces
engage you go to a SPW@W level (or have the option to do so). I remember something like this in th eold Mattel game "Sea Battles".
This could work for the WWI game(?) or Napoleonic types. You would manuever large
forces (ie Von Schleifen Plan), and then
when the forces become engaged you have the option to do tactical SPW@W level combat!
Just an idea.
Thanks

I was also thinking of a game in two levels....although slightly differnt....I was thinking of a strategic game in the Colonial era, in wich you would fight the battles on an operational level.

The colonial era is perfect for a strategic game, and by inserting really well done battles it really could be fun defeating the Fuzzy wuzzies Image

Hi,

You should post these ideas on the "Matix's Surviving WON" topic. The folks from Matrix are monitoring that topic for such ideas and there are a number of us on that site trying to organize a project.
