I have been absent for some time now. When I was last here, Computer World in Flames was referred to as CWIF. Now everyone is talking about MWIF. What's the difference? What have I missed?

You might want to start by reading the thread: A new start welcome Steven Hokanson (me). Other threads that might be of interest are: when?, play by email (PBEM), game interface design, choosing sides, maps, and units.
MWIF stands for Matrix Games' World in Flames. It is used to differentiate it from the beta test version CWIF by Chris Marinacci. Long story, but it is pretty well chronicled by the postings in this forum over the past 2 months.
