penalties for QB

Did the question below come to light before?

It is about quick battle resolution. During a quick battle, I tried to click on units and saw that there was sometimes "-2 attack and -2 defend since out of supply". At first, I suspected it was attributed to the lack of a depot for the units. However, even if in battles where there were depots within the supply range of the fighting units, the phrase was still there. Thus, every time I prepared to do battle, I checked to make sure the supply icon for my troops was a supply wagon rather than a stack of grain. I doubted it would make a difference, and it seemed not to be useful in all cases. Is there any sure way to make soldiers fight without such minuses?

It leads then to a related question. When I set my troops to force-march, the troops would fight with a "-1 attack" penalty. Even if it didn't actually move at all, the phrase for the penalty was still there. I would like to know if it really took effect at all when the troopers remained still.

Troops should be considered in-supply when adjacent to a depot you control (or to which you have access via treaty.) Note that depots can be disrupted, sometimes immediately before a combat begins. There have been several posts on the disruption of depots, so you can probably search for this phrase for more on that. I haven't seen this working improperly, but if you find a case where it's not working if you could provide details of the particulars and perhaps a save file then I'll be able to look into the issue more thoroughly.

Force march penalty applies even when troops haven't yet moved.

I clicked on the "email" button in the lower part of your thread but there was no option for attaching a save file.
