Upper level LOS

I have some difficulty understanding LOS when units are on upper levels looking down so I decided to make some examples.

- 13J4 upper level has LOS to N1/2/3/4 (behind and over bocage), no LOS to C3 but LOS to B3/D3, no LOS to B7 but LOS to A7/C6 and no LOS to B1/C1/D1 because of D2/E1 being 2-nd level forest.

- Based on the 'the Manior' scenario. 14K8 has LOS to 13I6 /K6?

- In the rules on LOS in 10.3 last paragraph reference is made to blocking and degrading terrain hexes/objects casting a one-hex shadow that blocks LOS. Why doesn't it degrade? Or is there something missing from the rules?

Thanks. Pirke.

ad 1 - all correct beside 13C3... but I guess that's a typo.

ad 2 - sorry, no scenario cards around

ad3 - basically the designer can only tell "why". But imagine trees, with all their leaves... they cause somehow a blocking shild in that curtain angle. Makes sense? :)

Hannes I can see this but what about trees in and out of season, something which will not apply in the timeperiod BoH is played, nonetheless I wondered whether something was missing in the rules because of this.

IF ever anyone would see a need for this in/out of season things - they could do it via SSR, huh? :)
Maybe one might even come up with dense coniferous forest: 3 MPs ... but afforested, so only 0.5 level high - blocks only at same level - whatever ;)
