Back from the insanity of trying to guess String's quiz entry, Name That Warship:

Something soviet from the 60s, lets say a krivak[&:][:D]

Its not a Krivak I'm sure they were missile ships, possibly a Kashin DD

a quick search got the answer
it's a skoryy class in the black sea circa 1968

I dot the 60s part right[:D]

It is a Skoryy. Interestingly enough, although this particular vessel was photographed in '68, the design itself was completed in 1945. 68 were built, and all had been stricken by the mid-1980's.
