SMS Goeben. Not sure if in this photo it is in Turkish service yet (as the Sultan Yavuz).

Goeben is correct. The photo makes no mention of when it was taken, so I can't tell you whether or not she was in Turkish service at the time.

At least it was taken before 1941, when the aft mast was remowed.
Probably also before 1930... He's smoking like a hell, and probably changing boilers using coal to those which uses oil somewhere 1918-1930 helped a lot.

Are we talking about the same Goeben here? The German cruiser which served with the Ottoman navy in WWI?

Yes we are. Goeben/Jawus Sultan Selim/Jawus Selim/Yavuz - she has had many names - was in active service until 1948, served as training ship until 1954 and was finally scapped (a pity) in 1974.
