Rallying?

With C&C off, is there any rallying benefit gained by being within command radius of a superior unit. Meaning will rifle squad C(2) rally better if it's within 3 hexes of C(0)?

It won't rally better but if it's leader fails and it is in ragce of it's platoon CO unit the platoon CO leader will attempt a rally. If that fails and it is in range of the A0 unit the A0 unit will attempt a rally.

And not just a rallying benefit, as described above. If AO's (infantry, arty or amour) skill is better than subordinates, then subord's benefit from using commander's.

As stated, rallying is a process. A unit will attempt to rally itself, then look to superior units for rallying. With C&C this is only done if the higher echelon unit is within 3 hexes or in LOS, or both units have a radio. I'm rusty on this but I believe that is the way it works. If not, I'll hear about it.
