Malta as Bermuda Triangle?

Playing Turkey in 15 year 1792 game, Malta is French protectorate. At war with France, so move fleet w/ army off coast of Malta and offload for seige.

I get no siege msgs after this for 5 mos. now, and cannot embark army back to fleet. It is like army doesn't do anything after disembarking other than sit on the beach (rocks?) and eat. Also, fleet will not attack port.

Fleets won't attack ports (at least for now). Did you mean you had sent the fleet blockading Malta's port but it failed to do as you had ordered? My experience taught me to ensure there has to be a full, or near-full, corps with as many as gunners in it for the besieging task before Malta can be easily brought to its knees.

Fleet was in sea off of Malta-- was able to order attack port and disembark army of @30k in same turn.

In subsequent turns not able to order siege or attack port or embark army back to fleet. Blah.

Try to leave the sea zone and re-enter it; I once ran into this type of problem and doing so put it right.
