Before you play a pbem game I suggest you 1st play the tutorial and several games against the Computer AI. If you just jump into a pbem game you will be sorry. The tutorial shows you how you can bypass the Allies in East France via Netherlands.

try playing against the AI a couple games to learn all the different sides and how things flow inside the game.

so can you answere my origninal post.who do you go after france and then when you are fighting france russia declares war on me. so what do i do now?

france is conquered german first turn every game. otherwise germany would lose very quickly.

edit:buy the game and play it once against the AI

i attacked france on turn one. and russia attacked me on their turn 1.after i attacked france russia attacked me and coungered romania.

RTFM: Rule 3.2.6 under Germany is the rule you probably have overlooked.

In the game manual - the one that explains all the rules.

You must have pulled to many troops from Poland or Prussia. When you do that, did you see an orange man. That means your not meeting the required garrison to prevent the Russians from making an opportunistic attack.

Edit: You must have "show garrison warnings" checked under the options menu. That one should always be left on. It can't imagine why its even an option in the first place.

That is the crux of strategy games. There is no set response to "What do I do now?" questions. I have had the game for a couple of weeks now and I'm still only just learning the ropes. I don't even know enough to ask questions yet

First of all you shouldn't invade Turkey yet at your experience level. Just leave them alone and go after Russia only. Of coarse you must protect yourself from the British so keep a few infantry in France and such. Don't do what the German AI does to protect themselves. Because they don't even try. Its so stupid that it protects France with only militia with no flak or fighters to save them. Stupid! Anyway I think you should read the manual. If its to long for you them you should at the very least read the "top" topics in each part of this forum. The one in particular your should read is the one called "trigger list." You can find that one under the gerneral category at the top. Thats why there called "top" threads.
