Padres Fan's Ballpark Project

As stated in the other threads, I'm working on .prk files for all current stadiums, using my template suited for 640x480 images, since that's the only resolution that the publically available photos are in. I have the AL EAST and AL CENTRAL completed, so if you'd like to see a snapshot of a particular stadium, just let me know and I'll post it.

I could also use some help. I'm not thrilled with the pictures I have for Fenway, U.S. Cellular (the pic I have is actually New Comiskey), and Comerica. If anyone can point me in the direction of a good behind the plate, 640x480 (or bigger) image, I'd appreciate it.

I'll post updates to this thread as progress continues. I hope to get another division done after I watch LOST tonight...

Padresfan,

I've uploaded a zip that has all of the stadium pics I was talking about. Pictures for every MLB park except RFK are in there plus a few generics and some old timer stadiums. You'll find them in the link below. (The link auto expires after 20 DL, so please let Padresfan get the file before you download it. As they are, the images are raw and need work before they'll fucntion in the game)

Unless Shaun or someone from Matrix raises an issue, I think you're best off using these images. They're high quality, standardized, and they're all there. I've already resized them (635x476 worked best IMO), and the same camera angle is used in all of the shots. Moreover, the camera angle is such that you should be able to use your prefered template of having the palyer data on the bottom of the screen.

As a reminder, don't forget that like 28 of the MLB already have their dimesions built into the game. To my knowlege, the only two that aren't in there are the new ones in Cincy and Philly. For those 28 you would just need to specify an image; from what little I've done with this, I think the ball flight and PSPN config stay the same after you set them once.

Also note that I've included a a file taken from Puresim's html folder, for your consideration as an alternative background image in the template.

Downloading now, thanks! My template is set to take 640x480 images, so if I decide to use these, I'll have some tweaking to do on the ones I've completed...

Ok, I took a look at them, and this may be a second set that I do. It's just that personally, I like the real photos better. I really appreciate the help though. Like I said, maybe I'll put a set together with these images for folks who prefer the computer generated look.

And here's Kauffman Stadium... If you want to see any others, just let me know. Otherwise, I'll post again when the NL is complete and maybe then someone will be able to host the collection.
