The troubles experienced by Tankhead in getting a funtional broadband connection, in a rural setting in Canada's Yukon Territory, for less than the GDP of, say, Haiti, have been enormous. Rural takes on a special meaning in a territory of just under 500,000 square kilometers with a population of just under 32,000 people (info from Yukon Government Home Page).

He has been (repeatedly) promised the erection of a wireless repeater tower nearby "in a week" for several months. If the latest set of promises from the wireless dealer are true, he should be back in about a week.

He has been working on his site offline, and says he has somethings to implement once he gets back on line.

Hi WB,

Life & family has really intruded on my time of late. I do speak with Rick from time to time & he's rarin' to get back on line. However, things just aren't as available when you move to the woods. If they do not get him hooked up soon, I think a wire brush & turpentine is the least painfull thing he will do to them.

Wishing you & yours a great Christmas,
