SPWaW Forum = slow-loading pig

so is it just me, or does the forum seem to load much slower these days? like sometimes I have to hit the refresh button to rerequest the page. just want to know if anyone else is experiencing this.

Yep, me too. I just joined the forum a week or so ago, but it's definintely a slow beast these last few days.
I wonder if it's connected to the uploading of v7??! <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0"> Hey, a guy can dream ...

Have to agree here...in my opinion it's all the activity leading up to the release of v7.0/MCLV. Ever since they said soon, the board has bogged down quite a bit. Same thing at the update page <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

I turned off searches, but have to report that I dont see much difference. Via teh WAN at work it takes 8-15 secs for page load, on the cable modem at home its a little faster (except when my network card that doesn't seem to like WINXP bogs down...)

This is slower alright. I tried change proxys and also didn't work.

That is my guess, I bet there are a good thousand browsers trying to connect to check for v7 each day. There isn't much bandwidth left for anything else.

Hmmm must be the reason - now that v 7 is up, it seems to be faster! Everyone is downloading instead of lurking <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">

It is slower, maybe 50000 post makes it slow.
Anyways, I just got Watchtower, Austerlitz, and Fortress... I love ordering stuff online.
