i remember a while back someone saying how handy it would be to be able to move the cursor around on the detailed battle map. it would allow us to see what the terain is. another great addition would be a little pop up on each tex telling us the terrain effects on combat.

could this be added in?

This would be great. Especially if it told the terrain type, terrain modifiers, etc...

It's on the list of possible modifications. We're still nowhere near settling what our goals for the next patch are yet, however.

also, if you could add something that would allow the player to place his troops at the beginning of the detailed combat, or atleast start the two armies off at opposite ends of the map so that the defender can dig in or the aggressor can find the right place to deploy.

This one tops my wish list for COG, nothing worse then seeing your supplies stuck out between you and the main opposing force.

Not to mention the complete inability of the AI to deploy in even a remote realistic manner.

Who leads their forces into battle with their Arty leading the way,how is that at all realistic.

Mogami, do you mean a different type of delay than pressing "w" to wait for later in the turn (and losing 3 movement points)?

Hi, The ability to change control of nations during game. I would like to "fix" nations that are having problems. I would also like to be able to start the 1792 scenario with all nations under my control and when I think they are ready turn them over to the AI.
Currently to prevent a few of the problems I play with Prussia, Austria, Sweden and Turkey under my control and the rest under Ai control.

My god, that way 1 turn will take you eons!
Isn't it also become very diffuse for you, running so many different country's each with it's own geo-political and military problems?
Respect! is the word that comes to mind (superhuman's the next)

Hi, Turn 1 is the only long one. Sweden and turkey behave and stay at home and trade while Prussia and Austria fight France. If Russia does not behave then I have Sweden and Turkey in reserve.
