Anyone noticed anything disproportionate like this? My single season record in triples over 35+ years is only "13" among regular players.. so this is just really strange. Not pictured is the same guy with another 62 AB in post season, 0 2B, 3 3B, 0 HR.

Pretty speedy for a pitcher with 9 speed, 2 contact, 3 power

There used to be a bug where pitchers would hit a ton of triples, and in particular where as hitters aged and their speed dropped, you would see them start hitting more triples than doubles, with triples increasing and doubles decreasing. That bug was fixed many months ago; I hadn't noticed it in recent builds, but wasn't particularly looking at/for it at this point.

You can export your association stats to Excel, filter out the 'hitters', and see if all pitchers are having a similar, disproportionately high number of triples.

Also, you might look at your association's all-time triples leaders, to see what pattern triples-hitters are going through.

I don't know which pitcher this is, but I have stated before that I *think* pitchers hit too well.

I started out trying to put together the pitchers' hitting stats for one of my historical replay associations, but it's a tedious process. I'll post the results after I wade through it.

My guess is that this pitcher is someone who couldn't hit his @$$ with both hands in real life...

Sounds like Mike Hampton. Its too bad he took batting more seriously than pitching
