While checking out Ubisoft's Pacific Fighter forum, I ran across this video link to a
Shinden test flight.
It's not the highest quality video, but its the only video I've even seen on this rare aircraft.

Thanks for that. That's cool how the prop is in the rear. Nice fighter. The video is old that when they were warming up the plane it looked like a couple of staff were trying to rip each other's wigs off during a blizzard.

The Shinden is taller than I thought it was. Look a bit insectoid with those long, spindly landing gear struts.

seriously a very very nice looking airplane... I thought the zero had some of the sleekest lines of any fighters, followed closely by the corsair, well, I can say for sure I have a new favourite fighter, at least lookwise!

The Shinden's main problem was that the big, fat engine created murderous torque, which made the plane VERY difficult to fly.

If you can produce it in WitP it is the best plane in the game because it is the fastest and speed is kind in WitP.

Same with the Corsair...it took like 6 degrees of rudder AND flap to keep the thing straight on take-off.

And IIRC, later models were worse...the 2000hp Pratt & Whitney was changed to a 3600hp Double Wasp.
