I know that all the football non-fans will hate me for writing this but I am so proud and happy that I just had to do it.
FIGO WAS CONSIDERED THE BEST FOOTBALL PLAYER IN 2001 <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0"> <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0"> <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0"> <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0"> <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">
This means the world recognizes one thing that we Portuguese and many more knew for more than 2 years. Seeing him play it's just magic! We are now very happy and proud here.
BTW: special thanks to the Polish and the American coaches that also voted for Figo amongst many others.

Pero si juega en el Madrid y se ha tirado casi toda su vida jugando en España.
Se puede decir que aprendió a jugar al futbol aki jejejejejeje Sé ke esto ke acabo de decir les va a aencantar a los portugueses....... jejejejejejeje

Yes, but he learned to play high-level soccer when he was in Barça...

Sem dúvida que o Barcelona e o Real Madrid fizeram que ele evoluisse bastante e também que ele tivesse mais projecção. No entanto já em Portugal ele jogava no Sporting e na selecção portuguesa e já era considerado um génio. Foi também aqui campeão mundial de sub-21.
Quando o Figo foi para o Barcelona, logo no primeiro ano tomou conta da equipa e foi o melhor portanto não me venham dizer que ele aprendeu a jogar futebol em Espanha. Isso é ridículo.

Figo era y es un genio del fútbol. Lo que pasa es que juega en el Madrid, tras marchar del Barça, y aún duele...
