Sorry to spoof the old game show...but...
Is there an ETA on the next build?

Yeah, Leave them some time. I am still waiting to fix the bug that allows me to play 1.0 but none of the upgrades!

JavaJoe, have you tried renaming (in order to temporarily delete) the video files? From the results of the trace file you sent me, the problem could be in your video codecs -- though why this should change from 1.0 to 1.1/1.2, I don't know. It's something to try though. Anyway, to try this, just go into the Video/ directory and rename each of the .avi files to some other name, so that the program fails to find them and they don't load.

I just tried this. Same thing. Stops at the y in copyright.

I managed to duplicate a crash at this spot on a clean-install machine over the weekend. In my case, at least, it was an audio driver problem. Old audio driver was working fine with an older version of DirectX + COG. After I updated the DirectX drivers, then the out-of-date audio driver was causing COG to crash at exactly this spot. Going to SoundBlaster and getting the most current driver solved the problem.

I have the most current audio driver now. Still same thing[&:]
I am going to redouble my checking of out of date drivers, perhaps video or something driver.
Thanks for any other input.
