It looks like german Heinkel He 177 Greif in british colors.

909 were built. Variants from 177A-1 to 177A-5.
The Germans had them in mid 1942, didn't use them until the 177A-3 was available at the end of 1942 & stopped using them altogether at the end of 1944. It could do over 300 mph, had a service ceiling of 26,000+ ft., a range of 3,400+ miles & could carry a 2,200 lbs. bomb load and two Hs 293 missiles[&:]
I quess the Nazi really didn't like Heinkel.

Of course, they never really got its tendency to catch fire worked out of the design.

Thats why they make parachutes[:D]
And if thats the only reason they could have installed sprinkler systems.[:D]

Just discovered that there was an He 177A-6 variant, that is referred to as a Long Range Bomber, only 6 were made, but no specifics are given.
