A friend and I were trying to set up a remote game; we followed the directions in the sticky at top, but after punching in the ip addresses, we found it impossible to get a 'join' option.

We've tried everything we could think of, including taking down our firewalls while trying to connect, but no luck. Anyone out there had this problem, or have an inkling about what might be wrong, or what we're doing wrong?

Any help would be much appriciated.

If you're using version 1.1, that could be your problem. I've heard it worked in version 1.0, and I know it works with version 1.2.14

It's true. TCP/IP was completely broken in version 1.1.
