I don't believe in small corrections to see if something is off or not. Got to bracket the target and will try massive corrections baby.

I just gutted the logistical model to see how it holds up and how it effects the rapid pace of the game. Took the CHS and removed 90% of the resources of the map except for North America, China, Russia, Japanese home islands and the Japanese occupied portions of the continent. Replaced the resources with oil. Added some resources and oil to Panama City and Middle East and added small manufacturing to Manila, Batavia and Soerabaja. No instant add water and stir supply at resouce centres anymore.

As well, I've cut the civilian AK capacities by 90% and TK capacities by 50% to "roughly simulate" civilian cargo requirements. AP, APA, AKA and other military lift typrs keep their CHS capacities. However, device load costs have been doubled accross the board and tripled in some cases...ie Allied units, engineers etc.

This is in conjunction with some other tinkerings I've been farting around with like reducing max ship speed by 10%, dropping the Allied DamCon bonus in favour of upping the durability during refits (dropped civilian merchant durability by 50% as well). Niks A2A mods are in, I cut CV deck armour in half for those CVs benefiting from armoured decks when really the armour is over the machinery spaces and removed the "Tower Armour" from ships as it has now actual bearing on the model.

I just want to see how it effects things like the massive early Allied LBA campaigns, unhindered rapid Japanese expansion, bombardments as replacements for airpower etc. Betya it will play havoc with the AI!

LOL[:D] Holy crap Batman, now we have a shipping shortage! I think I'm on the right track ripping out all the resource/supply where I did and reducing the merchant loads by such a drastic amount to model the up to now civilian shipping requirement, even in such an abstract way. Any offensive is going to burn major percentages of supply and will be hard to maintain. I don't see Darwin or Dacca etc being SAC Omaha in this test.

Did you leave some AKs large enough to upgrade to ARs, ASs, etc.?

I'm just farting around so no, with the exception of the AKAs.
