Just want to confirm that the Cargo Capacity on this class is 500. Seems an awfully large, well armed ship to have such a small lift capacity.
Thanks

Confirmed, with a wink. This was a fast ocean liner that was converted to an Armed Merchant Cruiser. AMCs retained some portion of their personnel and cargo carrying capacity and were sometimes uses a transports during the war. The figure of 500 is a guestimate – could do some transport but was primarily a Merchant Cruiser.
There were three ships in this class and all three served for some period in the Pacific. However the other two (Prince Henry and Prince David) went back to the Atlantic and spent most of the war there so they were not included in the OOB. Prince Robert spent the entire war (from end 1941 or so) in the Pacific and was converted into a very useful AA Escort Ship in 1943.
