I´ve also the same problem, i cant install the gamepatch, cause the program "says" i´ve an invalid serial number-thats bullshit-otherwise my game crashed and go automatically to the desktop when the computer is playing?!

With respect to installing the new version
- Which version do you have already that is working?
- Where did you buy the game? (Country / Store)
- Which version is it that you cannot install?
- When did you download that version?

With respect to crashing
- How much ram does your computer have?
- Do you have all the latest drivers for graphics etc?
- When exactly does it crash?

Did you read this thread carefully?

I had to reinstall the game and then patch to avoid that serial number problem.
