fleets retreating from port

Is there anyway to track down where a unit(in this case a LF)is retreating to?
I attack the Netherlands and block the North sea with LF and HF.
Battle report gives info about the inf being dest.and damaged but not about the LF in the port.
Just says" WA retreat from battle."
Where to?
Can it bypass the German fleets in North Sea? and if not is there anyway to get info on units that can not retreat .
I'm playing the camp.1with no supplies
Thanks
Bob

There is no way to block such a retreat and the only way to track down where it went to is to manually look in nearby ports.

The reason you cannot block retreats is that it would be too easy due to the game being IGOYOUGO.

If you want to catch the dutch fleet you dont move your own fleet to the North Sea till after you have taken the Netherlands. That will place the dutch LF in the North Sea where your own HF can dispatch it. You can even send out a bomber to soften it up before sending out your HF if you so desire.
