production name F.10 Sea Vampire
Carrier HMS Ocean
Pilot Lt. Commander E.M. Brown

he flew the F.10 Sea Vampire of which there was made only one, the F.20 would be the actual line of planes to be produced.

just for the record...
The de Havilland Vampire was the last fighter built using composite wood/metal construction. It first flew in September 1943 some six month later than the Gloster Meteor. The Vampire achieved some notable 'firsts' including being the first jet to land on and take off from an aircraft carrier (HMS Ocean on 3 December 1945) and the first RAF aircraft to exceed 500mph (800kph). Armament was four 20mm cannon and two 455kg bombs.
