Help Needed for Air Unit commentaries

The number of descriptions left to go is under twenty and I'm feeling good about that. Still a fair bit of polishing and sanity checking to do but with over 500 paragraphs under my belt I might take a bit of a break from it all soon. Unfortunately there's a few air units that I haven't found anything for and I'm wondering if the assembled community can give a hand.
Anyone have any info on the following WiF air units
* Z.1024
* Osprey
* Nimrod

I found just this info on them
CANT Z.1024 - this apparently was just a design long-range bomber
http://www.csd.uwo.ca/~pettypi/elevon/g ... 14CAN.html
Hawker Osprey - This was a naval reconaissance-fighter development of the Hart biplane bomber.
http://www.csd.uwo.ca/~pettypi/elevon/g ... REYHA.html
Hawker Nimrod - Naval biplane fighter, developed in parallel with the Fury. The Nimrod looked very similar, but was a entirely new design, with a longer range.

Thanks Kafka. The CANT link pointed to a Z.1014... I'm looking for the Z.1024.
The other two were spot on!

Well, the Z. x designation system was tipically used by the italian manufacturer Cantieri Riuniti dell' Adriatico (CRDA). Unfortunately, according to the sources I found so far, the last model built by them is the Z.1018 in 43.

Kafka's information on the Z.1024 seems quite reasonable. The counter comes from Leaders in Flames, is Italian, and has a built year of 1945. I
assume that means the counter was created for the 'what if' situation of the Italians lasting longer in the game than they did historically and were still building bombers in 1945. And/or it was created to give the Italians the ability to "build ahead" with their bombers. WIF goes beyond what occurred historically at times. Your description of the Z.1024 could say something to that effect.
Thanks for all the excellent work on this.

I'm grateful for Kafka's effort. There are plenty of 1946 era aircraft included in MWiF but most of them were sitting on the drawing board or in prototype version in 1945 and there is plenty of info available about them re planned firepower, estimated speed etc. Its intriguing that there is absolutely
no information on the Z.1024 not even as a reference number on the standard reference sites:
* Lemaire
* CommandoSupremo.
* Wikipedia
* aviation-history.com
* luftfahrtmuseum
etc
Nothing
nada
zip
zilch
Maybe I should just make it up and see if anyone notices after the game is released. After all, if there is no other information available then how can anyone contradict me? [:D]

Don't know if this helps at all. I found a reference to the Z.1024 off of a Hearts of Iron 2 modding site. It's vague, but the Z.1024 appears to be based off of the Z.1018b (Leone) Tac Bomber design. The link is here:
http://hoi2.nsen.ch/wiki/index.php/Heav ... _1939-1950.
I also found this interesting in regards to the Z.1018: "An elegant, well-streamlined aircraft that was the last CANT. A fighter version and a torpedo bomber were never built." Could the 1024 be the torpedo bomber that wasn't built?

I like the idea. Let me check out the anti-sea factors on the counter and get back to you
