Bomber Crews

Technology has greatly advanced the last few years so I would think this would be possible since the days of BTR/BOB creation.
Would it possible to list and rate every member of a bomber crew?
As it is now a crew is simply represented by the pilot which is a little bit unrealisitc and something of disgrace to those who fought in the war.
Computer technology has come to the point where a massive database could probably be implemented.

Full marks for inspiration but the mind boggles at the task of data aggregation and cleansing and then you have to consider the libel cases from some surviving navigator who you rated as 'substandard' [:D]

I am fully in favour of making most everyone in the new version fictional.
You could even open planes and air squads to sign ups like Tankerace did for WPO, that would be pretty awesome.
An even nicer touch would be to let us name individual bombers like in the real war. Or have a list that the game automaticly chooses from when new bombers come into theater.

Well, computers have made a lot of improvements, but overall, we still working with the same program
we had a major issue with the 20,000 pilot limit (which we are trying to change) not too sure we could add in all of the aircrew, when th egame has trouble with the number of pilots to start with
also what are the aircrew to be tracked at, I am not sure the COmbat system would use them, or the bomb system
overall a nice idea, but it is going to take a whole new program, to even close to close to being able to do it

I would settle for fixing the program so that it is not the ranking officer in the squadron that gets shot down first. That is the most ridiculous part of the combat engine in both games.

Even if one can avoid the problems experienced with WitP in regards to keeping track of pilots and pilot buffer overloads....that would add alot of taxation onto the processsor as well as provide reams of pages for a player to sift through.
In game terms, what benefit would it give?

Hi Mate
that is on "the List" (LOL Crown of Glory, the designer was great for using that line, we got a kick out of it all the time, so have wanted to start using it too

)
but yea, it is in the list of things to "fix/change"
along with other parts of the combat system

Well i'm all for things added that are cool! [:D] However in this case....i get the impression of my eyeballs popping out of my head and me on the ground feeling for them after loading PBEM turn 1. Kind of similar as to what happened during my first BTR turn to Speedy as Allies.......that and drooling excessively as I tried to sift through the "wargame by spreadsheet"
