CHS #154 Japanese opponent needed (1.795b patch)

OK, I'm tired of waxing the AI.[;)]

Any Japanese Fanboy willing to put his kahunas on the line for an historical paced game?[;)]
Conquer the world, 'ala Risk' players, need not apply.

CHS scenario 154, standard AB map. Patched to 1.795b. We'll keep upgrading patches as they become available.

All replacement/build settings off.
Sub doctrines off.
Allied DC on.
PDU is negotiable. Japanese players choice to use, or not.
Glen's stay as they are, and only 12 plane sized groups may upgrade to 4E for the Allies.

House Rules.
GT1, PH is the only port attack.
GT1, no creation of Trans TF's for LCU movement by either side.
GT1, only Allied at sea TF's may be given new orders. The Allies may not create new TF's.

1.ASW TF's of 6 or less ships.
2.No intentional overstacking of airfields +15%. Transfering AC are exempt if stood down.
3.Atoll airfields -50% stacking +15%. Transfering AC are exempt if stood down.
4.No more than 9 air groups per side may be split.
5.No naval bombardments without an LCU present in the hex, unless an amph operation is forthcoming.
6.Invasion/para assaults may only be done a base/dot hexes.
7.Manchurian based LCU's must pay PP's for a command change if they are going elsewhere.
Only SEAC Chinese units may leave China proper.
8.The Japanese player will activate the Russians within the first month of the war.
The Russians will then be stood down until further aggression takes place.

9. For a Japanese Fanboy with real brass kahunas, retain 150 7000 capacity AK's in Japan. Or a similar match in tonnage capacity using various AK's.
Ships may be pulled from this pool to replace military losses, only.
This represents the merchant shipping used for Japan's civilian economy.

10.Only city and naval air attacks at night. Night trained groups are exempt.

I'm open to some negotiation with these options.[;)]
I'm also open to suggestions from any player willing to accept my proposals.

PM me if you're truly interested.[;)]
This offer is intended for a long term relationship.[;)]

Hi Black Mamba

a bit much on "House Rules" for my tastes. If you are open to discussion, we may find a solution.
I consider myself a newbie as far as PBM goes, let me know what ye think.

Cheers

Sure, I'm open for discussion.
Which ones don't you like, all of them?[:D]

I just want a game where the Japanese don't run around taking bases for no reason other than to get VP's for bases they have no intention of building up.
Also I don't want to see 400 4E Allied bombers operating from level 4 atoll airfields across the map.

VP spread doesn't mean anything to me, I just want a somewhat historical paced game.
I'll play to the pace of my opponent. The way the Japanese play determines my aggressiveness in return.

It would be interesting to see a game played out for as long as possible.
Campaigns with supporting operations.
Not a blitz of the Pacific by the Japanese then the Allies.

Your serve.[;)]

OOPS!
There is now![;)]

For anyone interested.
This is only half of the house rules that I restrict myself to when playing the AI.
For those who think I have a lot posted.[:D]

I would really like to open another jap game in CHS. But the problem I see is that that sub armor (introduced in CHS 1.06) and latest ASW changes (1.795) will have an uber-sub effect in game. There was some intentions to remove sub armor in future CHS versions because of new ASW routines.

Interesting.
Some of the current AAR's don't seem to reflect this.
Hits and sinkings against subs still seem to be occuring.
Though not as frequently.

Well, drop me a PM if you change your mind.[;)]

I'm not sure they do play 1.795. I'm still in 1.602 in with CHS PBEM, and so far all the sub were lost due to LBA ASW attacks. In 1.795 these attacks have been reduced very much...

I would rather wait for new CHS or try to remove sub armor/durability changes. Unfortunatly, I'm not a big expert on that...

I like your approach in trying to force a greater degree of historicity (is that a word?) in the game. Sadly I currently have just too many games on the go to take up the challenge. I'd really like to see how this pans out - will you be doing an AAR for us to see the effects of the house rules you are using?

That would be considered Roger.

I believe it's the over abundance of merchant shipping that really distorts the initial Japanese operations.
The treating atolls and other airfields like CV's was someone else's suggestion. It seemed to make sense to me.
The other rules are strictly for play balance.
