How can I get PureSim to recognize the randomized database .csv files that I've d/l'd into the Lahman folder? When I start up PureSim, it hangs and stops responding at the "loading teams" part when I start the association at 1902. Any help would be very very appreciated!!

You need the MS Access version of the database. It's possible to build on from the .CSV files, but it's much easier just to download the access version Lahman makes available on his site.

BK,
Thanks, but I want to use a Random Database, not the Lahman database....I like, having used it in OOTP, Big Mac face off against Koufax and Albert Pujols go against Cy Young...by random, I mean the random db that is available over at Baseball Sim Central for OOTP that uses all of players in MLB history but assigns them a random debut year. It is very very cool. PureSim, will not load it up though and I'd be willing to pay a $30 bounty to whomever can get my .csv's to work with PureSim and another $30 to get them to work with Mogul (need to be a access file then).

It may not be as easy as the random database your talking about, BUT you can use the Sandbox mode that Puresim has and import players from differnt years and create a league that way.

If you tell me where to get the files, I can have your database Puresim-ready by midnight.

pditman... check your PM

I didn't want to miss any of the Miami Heat game as I gotta watch my man Riles in his return to the big show

That being the case, I went ahead and found ARod23's random database on the web and converted it to an Access format. I have tested it, and it works with Puresim.
I've been on the Puresim bandwagon since the BBedit days, so I never worked with Mogul... but if it just needs an Access Database, you should be all set. There's a small chance Mogul will reference sheets that were not created as part of the random database (e.g. salaries), but if that's the case you're outta luck as it will require hand coding the missing sheets.
