map scrolling problem

Hard Sarge,

Apologies if this has been mentioned before, but will the revised builds be able to overcome the excessive map scrolling in BTR which occurs now with more modern and speedier computers

I have found that moving the mouse to the side of the screen results in the map travelling the breadth of Europe before I can stop it , resulting in planning missions becoming a very frustrating excersise and the game very nearly impossible to continue with at present.

this can be frustrating. One way to get around it is to use the small strategic map on the lower right corner of the screen. click on the area you want to see and it will bring the main map to that point without having to scroll.

Seconded - it's amazing how you get used to something, I have learnt to compensate, but it would be nice to have it fixed!

there is some screens where the mini-map doesn't work. I fired up BTR to test it but I couldnt duplicate it.

I think it was moving stuff or plotting, but both of those were OK, I didn't test adding fighter escorts, so mabye that was it... [&:]

Yes, the biggest pain is when adding fighter escorts. This is because the "folder" is maximised and the map part of the window is at it's smallest. It makes it very tough when you are trying to see exactly where the escorts pick up and leave the bombers.

getting the game to work right with windows XP also will fix the map scroll hassle (forget if that is a side effect or something that was to be worked on on the side)

but, the map "should" work at a slower speed now

a minor affair

May i add a few little problem ? with the huge improvement of cpu power
it seems to me that the 'clicks' when we add some flaks gun are slow i would like that the addition would be a bit faster , the combats report too, and the weird things which occured when the cursor wandered around the planes when choosing doctrine of engagement ( direct bomber ,fighter etc ... )could be adressed ...
