At the risk of betraying "Internet challengedness" I though I would post this site which I only just came across for any modders out there who haven't already seen it. I have a feeling I'm one of the last to discover this one though. [8|] I found it doing the exact phrase search "Warships of World War II". "Well duh...Gary!"

Yes very good, thanks Gary.

One small point. It says the Yorktown was sunk off Midway in June 42. It's just I could have sworn she went down off Canton Isl in January 42.

EDIT: Sorry, couldn't control myself[:)]

Nice site.
Maybe this one is common knowledge, but I stumbled upon it a few day ago:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sh ... t_carriers
Good info on all (???) IJN ships. Nice pics of some ships also by attacking US-planes.

Excellent site Thilo! I've never seen it before (although I have come across many other wikipedia articles)! I notice at the bottom of the screen there is a link for lists from other navies as well.

In case nobody has posted it before, here's an interesting site about captured Japanese aircraft tests (including aircraft captured by the Japs) that I stumbled upon while searching the net for Ronald Reagan's exploits as an actor during WW2:

Obviously the Allied strategy of giving Japan "victory disease" is working beautifully!

Canton Island was just a little payback for catching me off guard at Wake in December. Look at the bright side - you guys can AFFORD to lose carriers.

Somehow that doesn't seem like much of a bright side but I'll take it!
