I've just received a most prestigious award from the SPWAW Depot Academy and its staff. It is an honorary doctorate and it is a thrill to receive it.

Congrats WB you deserve it. I tried to post a note at the Depot but... restricted.
Anyone who has Google searched for info on a wargame scenario has had to have run across your name in many, many places.
Thanks for all you have given us.

My pleasure, J2K and thank you. It is so very exciting to have friends all around the world. Who would have dreamed it 25 years ago!

Congrats Kunel! [8D]
Your work over the years has been a real treat for the SP community...and many a current scenario designer learned a good deal of their trade by following your examples, your advice and if they were really fortunate (as I was) your personal mentoring!
Way to go WB...and much deserved! [:)]

So, we should now call you Dr. Wilder? That has a nice ring to it. Maybe you should think about making it official, and go back to school for a doctorate in history. It's never too late, and you're never too old. You have in you.
If you follow through, some may ask you to change the pronunciation of your last name from WILD-er to WILL-der, but to us, you will forever be "Wild Bill".

Wild Bill, congratulations! You are truly an icon in the military gaming community. I remember reading your name on the first scenario disk I bought for Steel Panthers ten years ago! Thanks for all the fun!!

On this forum too, congratulations Doctor!
My first WBW scenario or campaign experience was Merrill's Marauders Campaign in Steel Panthers 3: Brigade Command.

I believe it was somehtign to do with my mouse coursor. Not too sure but anyways no hesatation from him and the problem was solved and my addiction with SP began. my thanx to you Wild Bill your the man as far as i am concerned.

Old faces, old friends! Thank you so much. Your kind words mean every bit as much, maybe more than the awards. After the excitement and thrills of such events are your friends, always there, always kind and caring.
Its been a fun ride, bumpy sometimes, and there were harsh painful moments, but none of that with you guys.
Reading these posts has been a walk down memory lane. As you mention moments from the past my mind goes back to them fondly.
I'm grateful for the award. I'm even more grateful for all of you.
Let's hang in there. There are more exciting things ahead for all of us.
The very grateful Kunel!
