run time error 429

just dloaded game and after installing I try and start game and I get a 'run time error 429...activex component cant create enviroment'. What gives????

Re-boot, re-install, then re-boot once more. It must be some sort of installation conflict.

uninstalled, rebooted, installed ver 1, rebooted, installed patch 1.2, rebooted STILL getting run time error 429 [:@].

What version of windows are you running?

XP with all the latest updates, when I loaded the game for the first time it asked me if I wanted to install a 'needed' ActiveX control and I said yes. Is there some way of telling what that did and undo that or tell what 'control needs to be there.

OK, I built a special version of 1.20 for you, this wil report detailed error information so I can figure out what the problem on your machine is.
Download this file and copy it over your existing game executable and then run it. It should give you an option to send me the error info. Please do so.
