unexpected error 3021

I'm running Release 7, which I haven't gotten around to upgrading so far. Just completed my 4th season in a single player league, and during the "Finalize Rosters" segment of the offseason, I initially got a "Run-time Error 3021" message. When I clicked Okay, the program shut down (computer still running fine). Logging back in gave the same result. I restored from the backup file, and now get "Unexpected Error 3021" after clicking "Finalize Rosters"![&:]
HELP! MAYDAY! MAYDAY!

You may need to go back to an earlier backup and then make sure to upgrade to the latest release.

Okay. The only problem I see then is that I've already tried restoring from the existing backup file as per your instructions in another thread. (i.e. "delete the existing league, rename the backup") Unless the program has stored another backup somewhere, I'm out of luck as the backup file must be pooched as well. I haven't saved an alternatve backup anywhere else...never even thought of it until this came up.
Does the latest update resolve these "Unexpected Error" issues? I had them come up previously in prior leagues I'd been running, often after the 4th season for some reason (amount of data being managed perhaps?). Didn't even think of restoring from the backup until the most recent time...and, well, as you can see above that didn't work out much better! Drat.

Holy cow, I just noticed you are on a super old version!
Yea, assuming you can get back to an older backup the latest will resolve pretty much all thise old issues.
Do this. Try upgrading and restoring the backup. If that doesn't work zip up your association and send it to me via
www.sendthisfile.com (its free).
Send it to
shaun@puresim.com
Please upgrade first though.
