on the installation screen, it just keeps saying wrong number and that it should be on the cd itself, which i find weird also. i've looked some on the box and manual, but i have actually seen that same number, so i'll just keep looking or try that one again later. thanx for replying.

Pardon me for stating the obvious... but are you inputting the CD serial # in upper or lower case? It is case sensitive and sometimes it is hard to tell from looking whether a number is a cap or not. My experience has been to always punch in the caps lock and input all CD keys that way.

Sometimes it the simple stuff that kills you.

I bought it at an EBGames store at North Point Mall in Alpharetta, GA. I paid for it with cash, not a credit card.

Just to be certain - is the serial number you enter on the form xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx as seen on this picture?

Yes, that is the serial number. However, I bought the game pre-played from a game store. For some reason, the previous owner took the serial number out, or it was just removed, or something weird happened and the serial number is no longer there. To everyone out there: I PROMISE THAT I DID NOT BURN THIS GAME OR STEAL IT!!! I TRULY PAID FOR IT AND JUST WANT TO PLAY IT!!! AAAAAHHHH!!!! If you don't believe me, call this number (in the United States): 678-339-9999. That is the store where I bought the game. It is called EB Games and is located in North Point Mall in Alpharetta, Georgia. The time and date of purchase, according to my receipt, is 2:50 PM on December 21. Anybody out there that feels nice and wants to help me out during the holiday season, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

I would suggest you return to the store and get a refund. The fact that you bought the game really does not ensure you that the previous owner is legit. So, my advice would be to get a refund and buy another copy. Mind, I am not an employee of MatrixGames or 2by3 so this is just my personal advice as a fellow gamer.

" DO NOT " buy any used game that requires a serial/cd key for online play. Chances are the previous owner is still playing it with a burned copy or no cd crack and laughing at you!

That's a standard retail copy then, on those you should find the serial number on the back of the CD sleeve, on a big yellow sticker.

This example is the CD labels you get when you order directly through us (online store), with serial number and order number printed on the CD. Retail copies however have a different label.

I´m sorry but you will have to return it to EB Games. They should make sure they only sell used products after they made sure that the content is complete.
