new to the ole' Puresim board, been a baseball simmer for years (BBW & Strat-O-Matic). Like what I see so far here with Puresim (doing a replay of the '04 season as the Sawx manager, can I repeat the dream season ?) and was wondering if there are any sites to get xml's (other than the dead ball one here) and/or ballpark, player pic files(other than the ones Ive found at puresim.com or Beach23boy's site?

So far as I know, no there isn't. This is a brand new game so as of yet it doesn't have all the support stuff that other titles on the market do. However, it's also quite a bit more customizeable than all the other games, so don't be surprised if within the next couple years, what's out there eclipses what you can get for OOTP, BBW, Diamond Mind, and SOM combined.

Park files for current stadiums should be available in the member's download section. I have compiled a facepack of historical players, and i know of a couple people who are currently building them from scratch. I can put my facepack file up if I ever get hosting.

Just wanted to point out the fact that Puresim is not a Brand New Game. It's been around for several years. I believe the first copy I bought was Puresim 2003. So yes it may be fairly new in terms of years on the market but it's not brand new.

Yeah, I know. And Shawn's been working on it since... jeez, since Sierra shut down the Front Page Sports series. I think I still have a copy of FPEdit somewhere on my hard drive. However, in terms of it being out as a finished product that one can make a case for against the aforementioned games, the Gold Edition is really the first iteration. And hey, let's face it: it lacks the fan base that some of the other games have at the moment. That being said, I've seen *nothing* that provides the kind of tweakability that this game does.
