Hey all. I am having a problem. Ive been playing this game since it came out and never ran into this. Im currently running ver 8.4 playing a campaign game as the germans fighting the russians. When ever the russians (computer player) has an assualt mission to my defend he attacks with next to nothing. Example the last mission he had maybe 15 infantry 6 tubes of mortar and 1 122 how. No armor at all. No offboard arty. The mission ended in 6 turns with me as the winner. I used my arty once and then just killed him off with mg42s as he advanced on me. I didnt even fire my tanks. As ive said before ive been playing this game for yrs and yrs and never ran into this. Can anyone help? Oh and this is at least the 4th time this has happened in this campaign. All other missions delays advances meetings seem to work fine.

There is a max unit limitation in Steel Panthers. Are you playing with a lot of formations and units? If so, when the computer has an assault mission against you, it is supposed to have a multiplier of units (3x?) more than you. My guess is that if the total number of units on the board exceed what the game engine can handle, the computer gets the shaft. Maybe a reason to play a campaign with a smaller core in the future?
