is it possible to do it? I'm trying to get the planes over but cant make a landing

When doing an airdrop your planes have their flight radius halved. Thus you would need your heavy bombers to be atleast 7 as the closest you get to North America is 4 from Greenland.

Its just much easier using an amph landing.

thanks, I just got my bombers to 7 and invaded them, I was just seeing if i could do it, took me three turns to get all my millitary over there though
