Looking for an Japanese opponent

I have been giving a thought about starting another PBEM since the one with Hawker isn’t advancing too fast at the moment.

I would prefer to be allies since I’am not familiar with Japanese side.

Here are few rules though I would like to have…

1) Scenario 15 or 16 which ever you prefer.

2) Only 1 port attack on turn one.

3) No advancing towards India before Singapore has fallen.

4) If and when Singapore has fallen the assault on India can begin. The house rule with this is that enemy cannot occupy Karachi. Everything else is a fair game. (This to make game more realistic)

5) If IJN chooses to assault Russia than he must activate them 1 month prior to the attack.

6) ASW TF has nomore than 6 ships.

7) Submarines are limited to having max. 2 vessels in a single TF.

8) If chosen player defined upgrades than 2E bombers can upgrade only to 2E. Same with 4E.

9) I would like to keep this game historical PP MUST be paid in order to move unit out it’s command area! (So no moving troops out of China without paying PP for both sides.)

10) CV’s cannot have CAP higher than 40%. This will reduce the so called uber CAP and give opponent better chance of hitting anything with his bombers. You still can make a death star CV TF if chosen to do so.

I would like to have join AAR with this one. (I’am too busy to start one with my own)

Also I would like to finish this game too so I would actually like to test 3 day turns!!! (I have good experience with 2 days turns from other ongoing PBEM against Vorsteher/Hawker so if 3 day turns are impossible than I can agree to go along with 2 day turns)

These are my ideas about the game... If there anyone willing to go along with these terms I’am willing to listen.

I can do 4-7 turns per week and I can assure I’am reliable opponent and hope you will be too.

PM me if you are interested an we can see what we can come up with. (I can only take one opponent MAX… so I will start this one if I get intresting offer)

That would be like Hitler telling the Russians that they were going to attack. Not realistic IMHO

Hmpf... somewhat true but the troop deployments at Russia from start are fiasco! There is no chance of repulsing an Japanese offensive and even with this "early warning system" I'am doubtfull that Russian troops can stop determined offensive... But at least there is a small chance of slowing it down a bit.

The way to handle this is for IJ to activate USSR right away, with the proviso that USSR will not attack before some date xx/yy/zzzz to be agreed upon. This way the allied player can deploy to his heart's content, and IJ can invade as, if, and when desired, without warning.

That sounds fair and I could agree with this idea [:)]

A thing I forgot to add... I do not mind if we use Andrews Maps or Niks Mods, etc. So these things can be agreed.

Also, if anybody has other houserules to add than I'am more than willing to listen.

It seems that there are not that many IJN players around. I'll wait for a week and after that If no opponent is found than consider this thread cancelled.

(Actually would prefer to have an opponent who has played PBEM's since I actually would like finish this game someday)

It's the 3 day turns that are a problem for me.

As I said I can go along with 2 day turns. That will keep the pace up too.

I'm sorry, it would be the 2 or 3 day turns. I like micromanagement. [:D]

Ok. I'am not a fan of one day turn cycle so the quest for an opponent will have to continue [:D]

Doesn't that mean that the Northern china bases can start pulling supply from Russia?

I don't know if this true [:)] ...but I would not think it is the case.

I think we have an agreement with Erstad. So, the quest for an opponent is now closed.

PM send back. I did include my official email account with it.
