Grand Campaign

Hi all, Been reading with fascination Denbushi's attempts to mod up the main campaign. I have to say I love this game, only discovered it recently and I hope the community and Devs continue to support it.
I am clearly not a great player of WAW! as I tend to play as the Germans and lose consistently. No matter. That said, I read Denbushi's comments and the communities responses to them with great interest. I have played HOI and variosu cmpaign level games, such as the excellent OPART series and see quite well where this 'Grand Strategy' title fits in.
Denbushi says that he also loses as the Germans all the time on the original campaign and responses have been interesting - one particuilarly is the "it's easy to win if you invade England" response. I wonder if people disagree, I would be very interested in the England invaders comments, if they feel that this is a bit of an 'exploit' in other words they have discovered a 'system' to win? WAW is a compromise, a good one mind you, but nevertheless at the grand 'macro' level it works in my view there can only be limited variability in outcomes and this is reflected in a number of comments about it running on rails. For those that have found 'a method' of winning, which no doubt is repeatable due to inevitable limitations of randomness in a game working at the macro level, can I ask has anyone found OTHER methods of winning as the Germans other than the invade England formula?
Denbushi probably like me wants to use various strategies and through skill still win. If teh game doesnt allow the Germans to win due to its mechanics other than if you invade England then modding the game is the ONLY way to play it to achieve some variation in inevitability of the outcome - is this unfair?
denbushi's version 2 of the Rech Mod (which I will play tonight!) has taken some comments on board and has improved Englands defenses (extra infantry unit, US intervention imediate after invasion of England) to try and counter this formula and support his German victory mod, this is commendable but probably still wrong - would he US actually have entered the war at all if England had fallen in 1940/41? I dougt it somewhat. There was so much soul searching going on in the States during the Battle of Britain regarding the plight of the Brits and I think it took journalism and passion brought on by the stoic brits to bring them in. If England had fallen and no media interest generated by the defense of Britain then the US may well have continued to consider it as "Europe's war".
I am very intrested in what seems to be an inteligent and informed communities comments on this thread.
Finally - can I ask does anyone have a copy of 1.07 I could have to use at my own risk? I am intrested in PMEB games but can't find a copy and most PBEM-ers seem to use 107.
