I downloaded the member patch, but my game operation hasn't changed.

I never got an upload prompt (as when I uploaded the game after downloading it from Matrix); was I supposed to?

Did you run the patch after downloading it so that it could update the game? Sorry if that's obvious, but it wasn't clear from your post.

In a word, "no".[:(]

At the end of the member download I got an "ERROR" with the following happy news:
"Cannot open file C:\Documents and settings\Joe\local settings
Temporary Internet Files\contact.IE5\W3IHE528\CrownOfGlory-UpdateRelease-v1217beta[1].zip"

When I searched, I didn't find such a file.

Any ideas? [&o]

Sounds like you may of gotten a bad download, can you try it again ?

Ok, that's because it downloaded it to a temporary location and probably by the time you went there, it was already deleted. Instead, right click on the download link and choose "save target as", then put the file in a location you will be able to easily find. That should allow you to run it with no problems.

This is what I do and it may be useful for you.

I create a file in the Crown of Glory file called patches. Then all of the patches are downloaded to that file for easy access and easy remberance. This way if I ever have to go back to them, I know right where they are at.

Can someone direct me to the latest patch? Can't seem to find it.

go to the Members area

sign in

go to members download and look for Crown of Glory, it should say beta patch 1.2.17 click on download

Also, be aware that you have to register as a member in order to enter the members page. It is different from your log in and password for the forum. This has a tendency to trip people up.
