Just got around to buying this game. I have been sent v2.41 and have been
reading about bugs with planes. should I download the 2.42b or just leave it
as it is? thanks.[:)]

I don't think 2.42B is any worse than 2.41 overall - but others may disagree. Use 2.30 ( if you can ). I'm on 2.42B , but like several others I'm waiting for the patch before I start playing this again.

I play with 2.41 and have absolutely no problem with that. No bugs found either on singel or multiplayer. Nor as Japanese or American.

You must play the short scenarios then....airplanes dissappearing bug takes several months of game time to rear it's ugly mug....

Ever played scen. 7 as Allies and noticed most of your c-47 are gone after turn 1?

No sure this will work but good luck. If any probs then uninstall (including the 2.3 patch) and reinstall from the original CD.[:)]

Thought it wouldn't. Just uninstall ( both the game & the patch ) and reinstall from the CD to resurrect 2.41.
Not sure matrix will have any at 2.30 available - could try Amazon but will need to ascertain the game version first.

I emailed them, no reply as of yet...maybe I will just have to wait for the patch...or return the game, which I really would rather not do. thanks for the help.

Sorry about that...I thought for sure other people have done it successfully...

Ah, I was under the false impression the 2.30 patch was a comprehensive patch....it's just an upgrade patch...my bad...[8|]

So I guess if you really, really, want to play 2.30 you'd have to get 2.00 comprehensive patch (40 megs!), then 2.10, then 2.11, then 2.20 and finally 2.30...

If I were you I think I'd just wait for the FINAL PATCH.....surely this year it will finally surface....

well, I eamiled the support staff at matrix and asked for a copy of 2.30. No joy yet.

this is not the first game I have bought from Matrix, but it may well be the last. I am
a little annoyed to say the least that they sent me a bugged copy that has been known
about for over 6 months. [:@] I tried your suggestions, but nothing seems to work...
the disk wants to see version 2.41 or it won't start up the game.

Patching down is problematic...but I shouldn't have to shelve a game for many months
after just purchasing it because it has a bug that seems to be rather annoying. [:-]

I've purchased the game yesterday, same 2.41 version in download.
Patching back to 2.3 does not work, the game won't start.
Since WiTP is affected by this as well, i have hope that
it will be fixed. If not, i will ask to get a 2.3 version.

I haven't received a reply yet. Let me know if you are able to obtain a copy of 2.30. I think unless they are releasing a patch very very soon, they should do this or refund. [8|]
