Still only reading the posts, and not playing the game, carramba!

I was wondering how much you play solo and how much online (PBEM or TCP/IP)? Is MP much more fun?

I don't play the AI anymore. I only play TCP/IP. A human opponent is much better at selecting upgrades that will improve the performance of it's forces. Because AI's are scripted, they eventually become known to a player. Unpredictable human behavior is always a challenge.

For the first few months I had the game I was playing it solo every minute I could snatch between work, sleep, and family. Now I require that human element to fire it up.

I almost always play solo, but I think if the TCP/IP issues were resolved, I'd make more of an effort to find those games. The bugs and frequent restarts/reloads were too much for me.

I just recently purchased the game and have only played solo. I think the great thing about the AI is that it is allowing me to learn the mechanics of the game. I think if I were to try a multiplayer game that I would get beaten very quickly. So single play does have it's merits.
