Pitch Counts

How is the pitch count used to determine when a pitcher has reached or exceded his"Limit' in a game?

I'm sure it has to do with the endurance rating of a pitcher, but how is the limit calculated and reached?

How can a manager tell, when during a game, his pitcher is nearing this limit?
I'd like to know this so I can pull a pitcher before he reaches his limit and hangs a pitch that changes the course of a game!

I've noticed with my pitchers that they reach their limit 16-17 pitches over what their endurance rating is. So if they have an endurance level of 83 then their max pitch count before they go over is around 100. Just count how many pitches they throw after they reach their endurance level and that will give you a good idea.

Makes sense, thanx.

I knew it had to do with the endurance rating. I will track the pitch count when my hurlers reach their individual endurance rating, and look for this as well.

Thanx again!

Please let me know if yours is similar to mine. Right after I posted that post I went and played a game and my pitcher reached his limit exactly 16 pitches after his endurance rating.

I'll play a number of games first, then post my results. I want to go through my starters at least once or twice to see how much they exceeed their endurance rating with their pitch counts in games.

Since I just got the game few days ago, I'm going to start a new replay season with the Lahman 5.3 DB now that Shaun has released the 1.21 update!
