This isn't perfect .. but it is getting there ... Royal Navy Majestic Class from late 1890s ... Hey Tanker, what is the earliest dates we can use with WPO as it is now ? I know you were saying you wanted to do a Russo-Japanese Scenario - can that be done with no code changes for the dates ??

5/22 is the earliest set (so far), but dates only seem to cause problems with subs and aircraft. Haven't fully tested it yet to make 100% sure, but I was running surface battles long before the first code changes were ever applied to the project. I hope to test soon, because I've got some RJW ships that need testing, as do some SpanAm ships I've done.
As to pre 1900s.... I honestly haven't tested it yet. I plan to soon, because I'm getting ready to order the early Conway's editions, and try some early Sino-Japanese War stuff (such as 1894).
I can set up a quick scenario with some of the ships I have done now, and find out later today.
And I must say, she looks really good Joe! You got a project of sorts in mind?

Ok, just did a test.
The acceptable date range for a scenario in WPO is January 1, 1900 to December 31, 1940. WitP/WPO use a one century counter (so it would seem), do an entry of say 98 would make the game think 1998, not 1898, and conversly the game would dump you to the menu screen, as WPO will not run scenarios dated after 1940. For post 1930 games, we might need some code changes, as there is only a pilot experience table for 1922-1930. However, earlier games, which don't need aircraft (or subs), should still be fine.

Also, the game doesn't put an 00 or 01, but just a 0, or a 1 for the year, as such:
My hastily done WIP of the Oregon in SpanAm fit (I had a better one, but that was months ago).

Majestic with piles of corrections .. so we'll call this the "second attempt" ok ... thanks about the dates !!! 1900 will do fine for my purpose ( and I won't do Russo-Japanese .. I promise ! )
