The last straw of peace went away one December day in 1941. This will be the struggle between myself and fabertong against grunt6971 and a friend of his from Minnesota. Beware of the Penguin. [:'(]

Undisclosed location.......
South Pole........
A priority message is being carried through seemingly endless dark corridors......
the last in a series of security doors opens to reveal a fine selection of Bond girls gathering around a back lit figure.....
I'm handed the message....so they want the Penguin.......
Once again I have been called to join the fight to save Man and Penguin-kind alike.....
Once again I will team up with Scott to smite the enemy....with much smiteness.....
I will command the Brits....Dutch ....and Chinese.....oh and the Russians....
Scott will steer the U.S. and ANZAC forces.....
It is to be a no holds barred....no house rules for our evil enemy.........
I will post when I see what few forces I still have after the expected hammer blow from our advisaries......
But I have learned much from Fear and Loathing....from team members and from fine opponents in that and other PBEMs....
So the Penguin will have a trck or two up his sleeve......if only I had a sleeve......

An undisclosed bunker somewhere in Calcutta........
I sit and ponder my enemies opening moves........
I know war's coming, but the diplomats have tied my hands...........fools......
Scott is likewise held back by the pen pushers........will they never learn......
In the meantime......
I'm pleased to see this thread has taken on a life of it's own before a single shot is fired.......

A Top Secret Bunker somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere. The mighty top secret agent for the allies, codenamed Penguin, has just arrived from Calcutta. He is reviewing the troops, aircraft, and ships. For not long there will be war. He can sniff out trouble from a 60 miles hex away. [:D] Send in the Penguin.
[:'(]

Rare photo of Secret Agent Penguin. He was coming from one of the casinos in Monaco (this is December, remember) when this snapshot was taken:

What a night...the girls, the booze........I left about two grand lighter, however. Feel free to reverse the order of the sentence, if it feels more comfortable to you.
