This leads to a question: the scale of SPWaW doesn't lend itself to the concept of "deep reconnaisance" by motorized or foot elements, so, are recon elements a vital part of your forces, or simply cannon fodder to scope out your opponents?

I believe it was Patton who said that reconnaisance troops were supposed to go down a road till they got blown up and then report back, or something to that effect.[;)]
