Ground Units Disappearing...

Hi,
I just encounterd bug, similar to WITP, ground unit disappeared after landing on the beach.
One transport TF from my invasion TFs was too quick and advance one hex more and hit the beach before other forces arrived. This is occupied hex (Davao) and unit start landing...about 150 casualties only though
There were two units in this transport, rest of 6th Inf Division (parts numbered 41-51) and entire 10th Mortar Battalion, this turn they are nowhere, TF is empty and no unit at the beach...
I'm unable found them in List Ground Units list nor anywhere on the map...

I had a similar experience. I landed the IJN 56 INF Bde at Guam on 6/5/26 after a bombardment. No CD guns fired. Some troops were lost but the icon appeared for a short time while the turn was in progress and then disappeared near the final stages of the turn. I've run the turn again and they disappeared again...I even tried delaying the landing a day to see if this would make a difference...

Any word on this? I really want to purchase WPO - but the major issues of WitP have me stalled[:(]
I just wish there was some feedback in WitP about the issues in the beta patches and the release of an offical patch. I think this puts a lot of people in a hold pattern and would be the best for everyone if we had some light on the matter.

Not sure what is causing it per se (I'm not in the code).
However, part of the problem in S Lee Ts case was he had the unit split, and assaulting two objectives 1,000 miles apart from each other. The program doesn't expect that, so when it tried to recombine the unit fragments after they unloaded, it did so, slingshotting all of the fragments to one area to be recombined. Granted not working as it should, but then again I don't think the program expects such a tactic (which is far from historic as you can get... that would be like one Battalion of a Regiment assaulting Normandy, while the other invases Morocco in North Africa). We've got good saves on this, so when he gets a chance I'm sure Mike can fix it, for both games.

Excellent -- thanks! You've done an outstanding job on WPO and the support you are giving is the reason why I'm looking at another game based on the WitP engine.
It seems the fragment issue sis the underlying cause in the LCU and leader bugs in WitP. Those damn pointers[:)]

I should have been more observant!
The default first turn had set the 56 INF to land at Dadjangas, but didn't take the entire unit.
I loaded the balance of the 56 INF and directed them to Guam.[:-]
